Help us build community gardens & housing

Soil Solidarity started with the idea that food and housing should be accessible to all community members.

In cultivating this idea, we’ve gathered volunteers and supporters from all walks of life in our pilot project, Katharina’s Garden & Compost. This project began in 2017 in partnership with the Faith Lutheran Church to create an onsite garden & compost that is given back to the community through the Church’s pantry and various mutual aid outreach groups.

As the Soil Solidarity program grows, we will incorporate on-site housing for project participants. Part of our long-term vision is for Soil Solidarity to function as a workers' cooperative & resource hub to facilitate fair, democratic working & living conditions for all involved while supporting the larger community. Our focus is creating a sustainable co-housing environment; where staff will manage the property and residents can participate in building quality of life, together.
